Partnering for Community Health: DIY Elderberry Night
In September, Dr. Nadine partnered with Jessica Wegener from Sunshine and Sass Creations to host a DIY Elderberry Syrup Night, blending her love of natural wellness with hands-on education. The event was a hit! Guests learned to make their own immune-boosting elderberry blends while discovering how chiropractic care and herbal remedies complement each other during cold and flu season. Afterwards, we had an opportunity to sit down and do an unscheduled, impromptu interview with them both to get a little insight into the event, and their businesses.

It’s the perfect example of how she sees wellness as a community effort that combines education, empowerment, and connection, while also helping a fellow local business at the same time.
From Green Bay to Two Rivers: Following a Calling to Family Care
Dr. Nadine has been a chiropractor for nearly seven years, but her journey into family wellness began long before she opened her practice on Memorial Drive last year.
“I started out working in Green Bay,” she shared. “But I realized I wanted to create a space focused on pregnant moms, babies, and families. That’s where my heart is.”
While she can absolutely help the entire family, at Bump and Beyond Family Wellness, Dr. Nadine provides chiropractic care designed particularly for women throughout pregnancy, infants, and children, truly helping families improve their health from the inside out.
Marketing With Heart: Building Community Connections
When Dr. Nadine first opened her doors, she hit the ground running.
“I started out doing all the local festivals and community events to get my name out there,” she explained. “That helped me meet families face-to-face. From there, most of my new patients have come from word of mouth and referrals.”
But as her business grew, so did her need for a digital presence. Social media became an important way to connect with new families and educate the community.
“I’ve started doing more videos and reels, showing who I am and what chiropractic care looks like for families. It’s been amazing to see more people find me online and reach out,” she said.
That blend of in-person community involvement and online visibility has been key to growing her local reach in her small lakeshore community, where families value authentic, trustworthy businesses that truly care.
Overcoming Challenges: Learning to Love the Digital Side
Like many entrepreneurs, Dr. Nadine admits that running a business solo can be overwhelming. Between patient care, bookkeeping, social media, and website management, she doesn’t just wear many hats… she wears every hat.
“When I started, I didn’t understand search engine optimization (SEO) or how much it affects being found online,” she said. “Now that my website is optimized and ranking better for chiropractic care in Two Rivers and Manitowoc, more people are finding me.”
*A bit of backstory here: In June, Dr. Nadine and I started working together on a basic Local SEO strategy to get her business to rank higher in her online presence in her local community. I handled the technical aspects of the SEO, and Dr. Nadine handles the social media content creation. Together she has securely locked down a TOP 3 spot in search engines, and is steadily climbing in surrounding areas! Still, if she could wave a magic wand and delegate one thing? It would involve marketing, mainly through social media, as well as other office tasks such as bookkeeping and website maintenance.
“I’d love to hire someone to handle the social media, website, and bookkeeping so I can focus on patients,” she laughed. “It is hours of my week each week.” I think that if you own a small business in today’s world of technology, you can definitely relate to this!
“Maybe then, I could even hire another chiropractor someday so I can take time to travel, but I never want to stop adjusting. I love what I do.”
That passion for care, even amid the hustle of entrepreneurship, is what sets her apart. Dr. Nadine is not just building a business, she’s on a mission to help all families in and around Manitowoc find better health.

When asked what she wishes more people knew about chiropractic care, Dr. Nadine didn’t hesitate:
“A lot of people think chiropractic is just for when something hurts. But even healthy pregnancies and births can put stress on the nervous system, especially for babies. Gentle adjustments can make a huge difference in helping them grow healthy, sleep better, and avoid illness.”
