It’s All Connected: Why Two of My Clients Are Teaming Up to Support Family Health

February 26, 20264 min read

One of the things I love most about working with wellness professionals is that they don’t just treat symptoms. They look for ways that they can truly help people live better.

And lately, there is something powerful happening between two of my clients.

It’s simple…

A child starts mouth breathing at night.
Sleep becomes restless.
Mornings feel harder.
Posture begins to slump.
Focus during the day feels scattered.

Individually, these look like separate concerns.

But when you zoom out?

They’re often connected.

On Saturday, February 28th at 10:00 AM, two local providers I work closely with are coming together to explore that very idea:

It’s all connected.

Dr. Nadine Illichmann of Bump and Beyond Family Wellness, in Two Rivers, WI, is teaming up with Becca Rose of Wisconsin Myofunctional Therapy (formerly Myofunctional Pathways) to host a collaborative workshop titled:

“It’s All Connected: Supporting Family Health Through Posture, Breathing, and the Nervous System.”

As someone who helps both of them communicate their message online, I’ve had a front-row seat to the deeper connection between their work.

And honestly? It’s exciting to see.

The human nervous system

When the Nervous System Speaks, the Body Responds

Dr. Nadine works with families who are often searching for answers.

Colicky infants.
Toddlers who struggle with sleep.
Children who seem tense, anxious, or easily overstimulated.
Moms navigating pregnancy discomfort or postpartum recovery.

At the center of her work is the nervous system; the body’s communication network.

When spinal alignment is off, even slightly, it can interfere with how the brain and body communicate. And when communication is disrupted, regulation becomes harder. Sleep, digestion, mood, and focus can all be affected.

From a marketing perspective, I often say clarity builds trust. From a health perspective? Clear communication inside the body builds stability.

That’s what chiropractic care is supporting.

But that’s only one part of this story.

Breathing: The Quiet Foundation Most Families Overlook

Becca Rose sees another side of the same pattern.

Families come to her who never realized that how their child breathes could influence posture, sleep, jaw development, and even nervous system regulation.

Mouth breathing instead of nasal breathing.
Low tongue posture.
Tongue ties.
Forward head posture.
Snoring that’s brushed off as “normal.”

These aren’t random habits; they’re patterns. And patterns create compensation.

When a child breathes primarily through their mouth, the head shifts forward. The shoulders round. The airway narrows. The nervous system may remain in a more stressed state.

It doesn’t happen overnight.
It happens gradually.

And gradual shifts are the hardest to notice.

Myofunctional therapy works to retrain oral muscles and restore proper breathing mechanics, creating ripple effects throughout the entire body.

Why Their Collaboration Makes So Much Sense

As someone who works with both of these practices, I’ve watched them approach similar concerns from different angles.

Dr. Nadine supports the spine and nervous system.
Becca supports breathing mechanics and oral muscle function.

But posture influences breathing.
Breathing influences nervous system regulation.
Nervous system regulation influences sleep, focus, digestion, and emotional resilience.

It’s a loop.

And when that loop is supported early in life, the long-term impact can be significant.

This workshop exists because both providers recognize that families are often treating symptoms in isolation. But the real breakthrough happens when you ask a different question:

Not “What’s wrong?”
But “What system needs support?”

That shift changes everything.

Who Should Consider Attending?

This workshop is ideal for:

  • Expecting parents who want to start strong

  • Parents of infants and toddlers

  • Families navigating sleep struggles

  • Parents concerned about posture, focus, or jaw development

  • Anyone curious about preventative, whole-body health

If you’ve ever had that quiet thought, “Something feels a little off, but I can’t quite explain it.” This event may help bring that clarity.

As a digital marketer, I often talk about collaboration over competition. When businesses work together instead of in silos, the community wins. In this case, families win.

On Saturday, February 28th, you’re invited to step into a bigger picture of health.

We hope to see you there!
